• Assist in management, operations and day to day functioning of a rapidly growing comparison shopping portal.
• Due to the fact that this company has been growing and evolving over the last few years while I have been there I was able to help decide on and implement procedures that help manage the operation of the technology department, in particular when it comes to the ciao website itself and releasing new features.
• My responsibilities include managing the ciao website, organising various teams such as sales, marketing, finance, development, databases and systems to make sure new features are launched with little or no problems and put measures in place in case there are any problems.
• Apart from the ciao website I have a number of projects to manage, ranging in size and complexity. Many of the projects mean I have to co-ordinate teams from various business functions and to plan a project release.

March 2006 – November 2006: Ciao GmbH Wroclaw, Poland; Senior Software Developer

• Developing software for an international ecommerce and price comparison portal. Development primarily in LAMP technologies.
• My duties and role is an extension of the position I held at Fingo however I was employed directly at Ciao GmbH.
• The Primary focus working for Ciao as a senior developer was working with external partners, in particular implementing Google adsense on the platform using the Google AFS and AFC API's and implementing other external partners such as eBay auctions.
• In this position I have been moving away from a pure development programming role towards a leadership and project management position. Whenever the opportunity presented itself I would manage resources or take control of certain projects.

November 2003 – March 2006: Fingo Wroclaw, Poland; Software Developer

• Hired as a php, mysql developer, software engineer where my role at was to develop software for an International web portal Ciao.de.
• My duties have included developing ecommerce systems, development of features and tools for clients and users.
• The technologies I have worked with include php, Mysql, Sybase, XML, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and PEAR.
• I was responsible for ecommerce integrations however I was also responsible for developing features for the portal itself, including integration of third party modules. For example eBay, Google and other Merchant Sites.
• In addition to project development, I also develop ad-hoc features as required by the business and I fix any bugs that may appear on the site.

February 2002- September 2003: Kuban Empire Perth, Australia; Software Developer

• Hired as a web page developer, software engineer, to work in php and mysql.
• My duties include the design and implementation of databases and user interfaces; it is also my responsibility to combine the design templates with the code I wrote.
• The projects I have worked on include content management systems for the administration of web sties, user registration and mailing list systems.
• An example of a complete Website can be seen at www.threesports.com where I implemented a content management system to manage the news, the forum and email newsletter subscribers to the website.
• Projects also completed were a generic shopping cart module to be used by clients and content management systems for WA Business News (www.businessnews.com.au) and Howard Park wines and Madfish wines.

• Hired as a Database Programmer, to work in VB6, SQL Server 2000 and Macromedia Flash Designing.
• My responsibility included the development of user interfaces, the design and implementation of MS Office integration, design and implementation of development tools and was responsible for liaising with end-users including the documentation of user requirements.
• I was expected to keep very stringent deadlines and I was in constant contact with my manager to report my progress.
• Apart from my duties as a database programmer, I was occasionally expected to give technical support to co-workers.
